Life, a mixture of happiness and grief, provides both to make ends meet. Man is an actor in God's hands, as he wants him, he eventually stands. Happiness is welcomed in everyone's life, but sadness cuts as sharp as knife. No one welcomes this aspect of life, everyone wants it out of his side. Gay and gloom follow each other, hence life moves on from one corner to another. One should be happy in days of gloom, as happiness would create all that bloom! |

PRICE RISE OR RISE IN POVERTY???
The rise in prices of essential commodities has created a worse economic situation in India. It is not only a threat but a challenge to the stability of the society as a whole. The argument is advanced that rising prices are-a necessary feature of a developing economy. But it affords little satisfaction to the poor wage-earner who has been struggling hard and long to keep his body and soul together. One can understand fluctuation of prices of certain commodities but the peculiar feature is that they have gone up uniformly in all spheres that are essential to bare human existence! Unless this is checked immediately, it is bound to create economic explosion leading to social tension and political imbalance.
The important factor responsible for increase in prices is faulty planning and unrealistic assumptions on the part of the Government. We have spent crores in fifteen years for the economic plans of the country. It offers little consolation that the country’s economy has reached such a critical stage. Heavy industrial projects have been undertaken. Keeping Hoards of food grains and other commodities is a criminal offence but it is a pity that in a democratic country, like India it passes unnoticed. Excess profiteering and unscrupulous traders must be brought to book and the iron hands of law must have a firm grip over the unpatriotic activities. Government together with common people should pull their socks in order to control the growth of price in India. Balance growth of economy is necessary for the survival of all the different classes of society.

FREQUENT BANDHS: GIVES SOLUTION OR CREATES PROBLEM??
Known all over the world as the 'general strike' a weapon against the ultimate expression of protest against government policies the "bandh" has now become a day to day Indian phenomenon. This bandhs are called by the parties with the help of " Aam Janta" to fullfill their own demands. Due to this bandh , public suffers a lot, companies suffers heavy loses , shopkeepers face trouble. in short "you are doing it for public and public suffers a lot just because of your step". There is a loss of India's revenue, mental disturbance of public by means of vigilant mobs, stone throwing and other violent methods that are used . Life of common people is paralized. Students suffers badly due to closure of schools and colleges as the syllabus cannot be completed on time. Frequent bandhs hampers the common life of the people..
Recently the BJP and left parties called bandh to enforce the nation-wide protest against the full price hike, though the government has firmly ruled out any roll back and slammed the strike unjustified. What was the result of haulting the country's life for one day? stray incidents of violence and road blockades were reported on the strike day. Loss of crores of money was the ultimate outcome of the protest.
The question arises that is these bandhs able to bring any solution to the exisisting problem? The answer to this question is lost in the noise of mob. But nobody can deny the fact that these bandhs generate several new problems. Bandhs are called by the people and later its harsh impacts are faced by the same people..
The concepts of bandhs need a makeover, for the development of the country. the peaceful paths of Mahatma Gandhi like Satyagrah to express protest are better idea rather than calling strike and stoping breath of country.
